CORONA, California (August 29, 2016) – Fans and competitors both will have the opportunity to lay all their cards on the table when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returns to Lake Elsinore, Ca., in late September. A celebrity charity poker tournament the evening of Thursday, September 22, at the Lake Elsinore (Ca.) Casino norske spilleautomater på nett will raise money to fight the effects of pediatric cancer while setting the stage for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series “Fight Under the Lights” presented by Optima Batteries – Friday and Saturday nights (September 23-24) at nearby Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.

Lucas Oil Racing TV personality Greg Cozzo will host the ‘Cards for a Coz’ poker tournament and all proceeds from the event will go to the Jessie Rees Foundation, which offers support and provides hope and encouragement to the children and families battling pediatric cancers.
The tournament has an unusual format in that it does not award cash prizes. Instead, participants are encouraged to battle for a seat at the final table, where they will have an opportunity to select from an array of prizes and experiences ranging from a set of new wheels and tires to a ride in a stunt plane.
“The tournament is a rebirth of the annual event I hosted during my days in radio,” Cozzo said. “I was raised to be thankful and to give back. I’m truly blessed to work for a company like Lucas Oil that encourages and supports those same sentiments. If we can help provide support and hope to even just one family by supporting the Jessie Rees Foundation, all the time and effort everyone has put in will be well worth it.”
The theme ‘Cheeseburgers in Paradise’ also will be supported by Lake Elsinore Casino’s CJ’s Sports Grill, which is providing food for participants to showcase the casino’s latest upgrades to its Off Track Betting area and other improvements.
There also will be a silent auction that will give the poker players a chance to win additional ‘Bounty’ prize opportunities by eliminating identified celebrities during the tournament.
The tournament has a $50 entry fee for players and spectators will be admitted for $25. All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt provided by Active Screenprinting.
For those teams and attendees staying at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, Lake Elsinore Casino will be providing a complimentary shuttle service on the half hour, between 5-7PM and at the conclusion of the tournament (est. 9-11pm).
The Jessie Rees Foundation is 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to ensure every child fighting cancer has the support to “Never Ever Give Up” (NEGU) by connecting with families, bringing awareness to their stories, offering them helpful resources and sending the entire family continual doses of encouragement throughout their journey. NEGU was the motto and message that Jessie shared with everyone during her courageous fight with cancer. NEGU has become an international symbol of hope to both young and old.
