DOING MORE WITH LESS — The McCain Brothers’ wild nitrous-huffing LSX Datsun proves you don’t need big cubes—or a big car—to make a BIG statement! Longtime RPM readers might remember the Datsun name, while others may have rarely, if ever, seen one. Originally used by Nissan for its export vehicles, the Datsun badge was phased out during the 1980s, making these machines an increasingly rare sight today. Finding one competing in a top-level drag racing class is rarer still—and finding one that can run with the heavy hitters seems almost impossible. Enter Ryan and DJ McCain. Their wicked little Datsun throws convention out the window, combining lightweight old-school import attitude with nitrous-fed LSX muscle to create one seriously unexpected track terror!
