Jill “Queen of Diamonds” Canuso and Rodney ‘Eastern Raider’ Fazekas Wed in World Famous Cavern
Pottstown, PA – November 11th, 2014 – Jill Canuso and Rodney Fazekas are elated to announce they are now Husband & Wife. They choose to exchange their vows on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 in a very unique and memorable location; Luray Caverns, Virginia. The intimate ceremony took place within the 400 Million year old cavern’s Cathedral Room, which lies 140ft. beneath the earth’s surface. Because of its natural beauty, Luray has been voted #2 “Beautiful Destination Wedding Locale” in the United States, by TLC (The Learning Channel.)
This popular drag-racing couple first met as children, when they were motorcycle Flat-Track racing in Eastern Pennsylvania. Twenty-some years later, a mutual Flat-Track racing friend brought them back together and they have been inseparable ever since. The event was witnessed and shared by 50 of the couple’s closest friends and family, and then celebrated in the historic LurayValleyMuseum ‘Burner Barn,’ a circa 1860 “Switzer” style construction.
“Rodney and I would like to thank our family, friends, the staff of Luray Caverns, SoundMaster DJ’s, Tri-Spring Farm Catering, Vivians Flowers, Bijous Sweet Treats and the Rev. Robert Green for making our special day as perfect as it could be,” proudly stated Jill. “We are fortunate to have stumbled upon the Caverns during our trip to see Al Hanna’s induction into the East Coast Drag Racing Hall of Fame last Fall. The instant we stepped into the Cavern, Rod and I said in unison, this is the place where we want to get married.”
