- MAN Truck & Bus will build the TORSUS PRAETORIAN skeleton at its Starachowice plant, in Poland
- This new agreement strengthens the cooperation which the two manufacturers began in 2017
- The TORSUS PRAETORIAN is a 4×4 off-road bus based on an upgraded, heavy-duty MAN TGM chassis, which is built at the MAN plant in Kraków and transferred to the Starachowice plant for further manufacture, designed and engineered for use in the world’s harshest environments
- MAN’s 300,000 square-metre, state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility produces more than 1,600 buses and 520 bus chassis a year
- The PRAETORIAN’s welded chassis consists of 780 components, including 273-metres of 1182kg steel profiles and 351kg of sheet metal parts, and receives a three-stage coating process for maximum corrosion protection
- The powerful 286bhp, 6.9-litre MAN diesel engine, all-wheel drive system with locking front and rear differentials, air suspension, and 469mm of ground clearance ensure that the PRAETORIAN can be used anywhere in the world, on the toughest terrain, and in all weather conditions
