One thing we weren’t ready for when we started Project aPocalypSe Horse was how to get it from place to place during construction (and hopefully completion). Although hauling race cars and high-performance street machines is no big deal for much of our readership, yours truly had never had anything more stout than a half-ton pickup and a borrowed open trailer before. But with the project taking on a life of its own, we decided we need to step up to at least a 3/4-ton truck and an enclosed trailer. So began our search.
After looking for a used dually or 3/4-ton, good friend Kim Gough of Metalcrafters of Monmouth contacted me. As it turned out, he had a super-clean 1995 V-10 Dodge Ram 3500 that had been relegated to gathering dust in his shop even though, in its day, it had been quite a looker.
