When it’s a hundred million degrees outside, your temperature gauge is pegged, and you’re blurping coolant all over the starting line, things are not going to end well. Before that happens to you, check out your race car’s cooling system. If your radiator seems suspect, replace it with an AFCO Drag Racing Radiator.
AFCO’s lightweight aluminum radiators have a furnace brazed core (no epoxy) that provides maximum cooling protection, plus fully TIG-welded tanks and brackets for durability. Summit Racing carries three styles of AFCO radiators for drag racing:
Sirocco Style
These universal radiators have two rows of one inch cooling tubes and are ideal for doorslammer-style cars with limited space. The radiators also have four welded-on electric fan mounting bungs, two inch wide foot mounts, and a drain petcock.
Dragster/Roadster Radiator
This double-pass radiator has one row of 1.5 inch tubes and an optimized fin count ratio for maximum efficiency in a compact design. The radiator is available with or without a 1,550 cfm electric fan and aluminum shroud.
Power-Adder Radiator
This radiator is designed for cars running a turbocharger. It’s a double-pass crossflow design with one row of one inch tubes, and is a compact 13.75 inches wide by 9.25 inches tall.
Summit Racing carries many other AFCO radiators for racing and street performance use
