“We’re pumped about this Saturday,” says RPM Editor In Chief Chris Biro. “This is our first of hopefully many RPM ROAD TRIPS where we will be on the hunt for wild street, street/strip and dedicated drag cars to be featured in the pages RPM Magazine, on our website and in our commercials.”
First, RPM staff will be heading just south of Phoenix to Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler AZ to hook up with US DRAGCAR and their Arizona Race Company StreetCar Showdown Series to get an inside look at the series and its racers, and develop photoshoots for upcoming issues of RPM!
Right after racing’s done, the RPM team will be heading slightly north to Glendale AZ to catch all of the street car, muscle car and hot rod action they can handle for the Saturday night Mixteca cruise night at 67th Ave and Bell Rd. “For this ROAD TRIP we are guests of two very cool existing events and are there for one reason, to gather info on badass cars for RPM. We’re face-to-face people and prefer to catch horsepower in it’s natural habitat rather than over the internet only,” joked Biro.
RPM senior staff will be on hand for this inaugural ROAD TRIP, including Biro himself along with Toby Brooks, RPM Special Projects Director and builder of the RPM aPocalypSe Horse; the world’s first Twin ProCharged Kaase Boss Nine Hemi Ford Mustang!
