“Kevin was universally liked and respected throughout the drag racing community, and EOPM is happy to have this opportunity to honor Kevin,” said EOPM director Rick Moore. “He was taken from us much too soon, and we hope to honor him and help his family with this event.”
The entry fee will be $100 per car and includes a tech card. 100% of all entry fees as well as donations from race teams and sponsors will go directly to the Kevin Bowen Memorial Fund.
“We couldn’t ask for a more perfect place to hold this inaugural event than Virginia Motorsports Park,” Moore said. “When zMAX Dragway cancelled both events they had scheduled with EOPM, we reached out to our friends Allen Carpenter and Bryan Pierce at VMP and they welcomed the event without hesitation.
