Tow Bars
All Blue Ox tow bars come with safety cables and are backed by a three-year limited warranty.
The Acclaim Tow Bar is a Class III steel bar rated for towing up to 5,000 pounds. It has a ball coupler and easy-release latches.
The Ascent Tow Bar is a Class III aluminum bar rated for towing up to 7,500 pounds. It weighs just 31 pounds and is self-aligning for quick and easy hookup. It fits two-inch receivers.
The Alpha 2 Tow Bar is a Class III steel bar rated for towing up to 6,500 pounds. It has a three-axis swivel design and auto-locking arms. It fits two-inch receivers.
The Avail Tow Bar is a Class IV steel bar rated for towing up to 10,000 pounds. It will work with narrow- or wide-width vehicles and fits two-inch receivers.
Tow Bar Baseplates
You’re going to need to install a tow bar baseplate on your vehicle for flat-towing. Blue Ox tow bar baseplates are vehicle-specific and provide the proper attachment points for your tow bar. The steel baseplates bolt directly to the vehicle chassis and are hidden beneath the body.
Patriot Flat Tow Brake Kits
Flat-tow brakes are required in 49 U.S. states and in Canada. The Patriot Flat Tow Brake Kit makes flat-towing easier and safer. The unit mounts on the floor of the towed vehicle in front of the brake pedal and is powered by a 12 volt power source in the vehicle. A claw on an extendable actuator arm attaches to the brake pedal and provides braking action with the same force as a foot on the middle of the brake pedal.
The brake unit is wirelessly connected to an on-dash control unit mounted in the tow vehicle. It allows you to adjust the braking force, override automatic braking, and monitor brake function. These instructions show you how the Patriot kit installs and functions.
