The year 2023 is going to be special at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
It marks the 60th anniversary of the facility and the 50th anniversary of the Bader family’s ownership of it, and the season-long celebration begins with the 42nd Annual ebay motors Spring Warmup on April 15.
After the gates swing open at 8 a.m. to welcome racers and race fans for the long-awaited first event of the year, racers will be able to prepare their cars and combinations for upcoming competition during an all-day test session, and race fans will be able to see what’s in store for them for the next several months.
The popular event will also feature chassis inspections by NHRA Tech Inspector Pete Woodruff, and the Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Try It and Buy it program, where racers can have their wheels fitted with tires free of charge with the option to purchase them.
As always, the big swap meet will be brimming with everything from engines and engine parts to flywheels and fenders. Spaces are 20’X35′ each, and swap meet vendors may enter 6-8 a.m. the morning of the event.
Should inclement weather force the cancellation of the event, an alternate date is set for April 16.
“The Spring Warmup is an event that our team looks forward to each year,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “It means we get to see our racers and race fans, spend time with them and start an exciting season of racing. The fact that we will also be celebrating 60 years of Summit Motorsports Park and 50 years of my family’s ownership of it will make this year’s Spring Warmup even better.”
