Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is proud of its team members. They make fans feel welcome, and they make the park one of the most prized and prestigious racing venues in the country. To recognize their efforts, the park established a Star Watch Rewards Program years ago.
As part of it, full-time team members who work more than 250 hours during the race season can earn one star for each full year of employment at Summit Motorsports Park, and can receive a season pass to Summit Motorsports Park.
Part-time team members who work between 100 and 249 hours can earn a half-star for each year of employment at Summit Motorsports Park. Stars accumulate and the following rewards are presented to team members:
Rigel Kentaurus or Alpha Centauri 5-Year Star: Crystal trophy and $500 cash.
Canopus 10-Year Star: Crystal trophy, a lifetime pass to Summit Motorsports Park and $1,000 cash.
Sirius 15-Year Star: Crystal trophy and $2,500 cash.
Sun 20-Year Star: Crystal trophy, commemorative keepsake and all-expenses-paid trip for two to anywhere in North America, Europe or Australia.
Team members are celebrated for those accomplishments during the annual Summit University, where additional recognition is warmly given for Outstanding Park Services Team Member, Jim Herr Outstanding Food Service Team Member, Pat Peschke Outstanding Hospitality Team Member, Outstanding Operations Team Member, Outstanding Track Crew Team Member, Connie Hurst Outstanding Team Player, Outstanding Guest Service Team Member and Nick Gollner Heart of A Lion.
This year’s Summit University is set for April 2.
“We truly look forward to celebrating our very talented team with this event every year,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “Whether team members have been with us for one season or thirty seasons, they mean a lot to us and to our mission, and they’re worth recognizing.”
