Keeping fuel clean without unduly restricting flow and pressure is a tough trick, but one that FUELAB seems to have mastered. Take its line of inline fuel filters as an example. All are machined from billet aluminum with machined internal radii for minimal pressure drop. The filters are available with a choice of filter elements:
The six-micron fiberglass element is compatible with all gasoline, diesel, and race fuels except nitromethane, and is recommended for carbureted and EFI engines running E85 or methanol. It’s recommended for filters located after the fuel pump.
The 10-micron paper element is perfect for carbureted and EFI engines running pump gas, race gas, and diesel, but won’t hold up to E85 or other alcohol-based fuel. It’s also recommended for filters located after the fuel pump.
The 40-, 75-, and 100-micron stainless steel elements are for filters located before the fuel pump. They provide the correct amount of filtration to protect the pump without causing a flow restriction that can lead to pump cavitation. The elements can handle pump gas, race gas, diesel, and alcohol.
Most FUELAB Inline Fuel Filters are available with -6, -8, -10, or -12 AN inlets and outlets and your choice of black, red, blue, gold, purple, and green anodized finishes. Mounting clamps are included.
