Paton Racing are proud to announce that they’ll be flying the colours of Engineered Racing Services on
their Top Fuel Dragster for the 2023 NHRA season.
Engineered Racing Services will ride along with the Paris, Ontario based team for all of their 2023 NHRA
national events this season as well as 4 summer match races- 2 of which will be July events in New York
State as well as the 2 prestigious Ontario events beginning with the Nitro Nationals at Toronto
Motorsports Park and wrapping with the Canadian Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex in August.
Team co-owner Tony Paton shared some details, “I got chatting with Greg and Lawrence Wicklum
recently and with the exciting things they’re planning to do at Engineered Racing Services kicking off this
race season, the chance for us to help them launch that program and for them to go nitro racing with us
was a really great fit for both sides”.
“When Greg and I firmed things up I could hear the smile on his face through the phone and told him
that Engineered was in the Top Fuel business. I’m not sure who was more excited about it!!” laughed
Paton.
The Paton Racing Top Fuel dragster will have co-owner and veteran driver Todd Paton behind the wheel
for all of the summer match race events where the Paton team will feature both of their Top Fuel
dragsters for all 4 of those match race events.
“If you’re on one of our dragsters, you’re on both dragsters so it’s really a great marketing opportunity
for the guys at Engineered Racing Services and all of our marketing partners for the summer events”
Tony explained. “My brother will be wheeling one of the cars for all of these match races and then we’ll
have some announcements shortly for who will be driving the 2nd car at those match race events…. It’s
gonna be a fun summer!!”
In addition to a full slate of summer match races the Paton team plans to be competing at as many as 6
more NHRA national events on the 2023 calendar with the Top Fuel car wrapping up with the season
ending NHRA finals in Pomona, California.
