The show cars are booked and, with 75% capacity at outdoor sports venues now permitted in the province of Ontario, for the 21st year in a row, the IHRA MOPAR Canadian Nationals are ready to captivate the senses of Ontario motorsports enthusiasts. Those who attend will experience the earth-shaking cackle of 11,000 horsepower nitro cars, the smoke and fire spectacle of fighter-jet engine powered vehicles, and thrilling three-second performances by Pro Modified door-slammers, running supercharged, nitrous and turbo combinations.
The show-car lineup for the July 30, 31 and August 1st event in Grand Bend, Ontario includes, Top Fuel Dragster, Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, the Hellfire Freightliner Jet Semi Truck and the Northern Warrior Jet Dragster, all running the ¼ mile track, with several of those vehicles reaching speeds near 300 miles per hour. Add to that, the wheel-to-wheel intensity of Pro Modified competition, where driver skill is put to the ultimate test over the 1/8th mile racing distance.
With more than 350 race cars on the property, including Top Sportsman and Top Dragster competitors, there will be a tremendous amount of racing, that when combined with touring the pit area to meet the drivers, get autographs and watch the skilled crews service the race cars, leads to hours of entertainment for spectators.
Tickets are available at www.GBMPreSales.com and all planning to attend are highly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to ensure they don’t miss out, and to avoid long lineups at the track.
