Maxima Performance Break-In Oil is specifically designed for breaking in engines with flat tappet camshafts, roller elements, or where elevated levels of antiwear additives are needed. A high-zinc/phosphorous formula is blended with highly refined, pure petroleum base stocks to provide optimum ring seal.
Proper engine break in will produce an engine that achieves maximum power output with the least amount of oil consumption. A new engine should be broken in using specific guidelines during the first few hours. The focus of breaking in the engine is on the contact between the piston rings of the engine and the cylinder wall. When the piston rings are broken in or seated, they don’t allow combustion gases to escape the combustion chamber past the piston rings into the crankcase section of the engine. This lack of “blow-by” keeps your engine running cleaner and cooler by preventing hot combustion gases and by-products from entering the crankcase. The tighter the piston rings are set in, the longer an engine is expected to last.
Maxima Performance Break-In Oil improves piston ring seal during initial break in and protects cams and lifters from extreme loads and “welding” caused by severe hot spots.
